"The Robert's Guide to South African Birds (ancient edition) and the botany books are still on the dinner table. Through the mosquito net in my corner bunk I see the glowing kerosine lamps. The smell of ozone means it will rain soon, this soft light punctuated by flashes of lightening. I have been in Swaziland for five days and I can tell already it will be hard to leave come June."
